We were travelling through Belize and wanted to spend a few quiet days in unspoiled natural environment. And that's what we got. Our hut was the last one on a slight slope, a small river murmuring next to it, while we lay in our hammock or already in our bed, reading in the light of our torchlights. The hosts were... More

We went by this lodge several times on our trip to the Cayo district and I was intrigued by it because it had a closed sign on it, along with a for sale sign. Our guide from San Antonio said even though they don't have electricity, the main reason they didn't have very many visitors was that they did not... More

We were so excited when we arrived at PIne Ridge as this was only our second night in Belize and we had struggled for over an hour to reach the lodge via a very challenging road ( it is only about 12 miles from the main road but you cannot go any faster than a crawl, you will need at... More

We stayed at Pine Lodge in splendid isolation - we were the only guests! We were treated very well by Re & his staff and ate their wonderful food. We learned such a lot about the local Mayan farming communities (& enjoyed their produce as Re's father's farm supplied most of the food we ate). We would go back though... More

My wife and I visited Belize for the first time in late December and were very fortunate to have stayed at Pine Ridge Lodge. We knew immediately that we made the right choice when we saw the beautiful property, met the owners, and were shown to our very charming Mayan cottage. When we were planning our trip we decided we... More

We stayed for a couple of nights just this week, after coming over from the Hopkins area, diving for a few days. The location was beautiful, the little hut rooms great. Loved the little screened-in huts to relax in. Beware...no electricity in the rooms. Didn't present a problem for us: there were lots of kerosene lanterns as well as hot... More

We stayed for one week. It was great. Do not let no electric scare you. We though we might miss electric but they have hot water and the laterns at night were nice. It has it all, Birds, Waterfalls, Ruins all nearby. The night sky is unbelievable. We thought Arizona night sky was but the night sky there is much... More

Stayed 3 days. It's very rustic. Food was good except for one evening when they served Kraft mac and cheese as a main course. Re the manager was friendly and helpful. Black flies and mosquitoes were a problem but they were at many other places too.

Pine Ridge Lodge was more than I could ask for- a rugged, yet extremely comfortable, all natural, humble, and very beautiful place to lodge in the Cayo district in Belize. The lodge is very close to the Caracol ruins, about an hour drive. I would love to comment on the food that was prepared for us every night, it was... More
