We just returned from spending a week staying at the Morningstar Guesthouse and it was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Belize. Allison and Joanne are fantastic people, incredibly welcoming and the room itself was fantastic. The guesthouse is an ideal spot as it is away from the hubbub of Front Street but close enough to be... More

We stayed at this lovely place ths spring. We loved the deck for coctkails, looking out at the sea & enjoying life. Great hosts, who were super nice, helpful plus kept our room so immaculate & we loved the coffee they provided daily. Just off the beaten path but close enough to what's happen', Ya gotta Belize it!

My girlfriend and I returned to Caye Caulker and spent the last night of our vacation at Morning Star thinking that we'd be able to get some rest since it is located away from the center of town. Situated directly across from the primary school, on the side closer to the airstrip, the arrival of the school children in the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here in one of the upper rooms recently. The place is in a pretty good location and is fairly nice. It's run/owned by a local Belizean man and his wife, a Canadian woman. On the positives it is a pretty nice place with a nice balcony. The lady cleans the room daily. The water is... More

We spent five pleasant nights in the Cabana. Everything on Caye Caulker is within reasonable walking distance. While we took a golfcart taxi to Morningstar, but we carried our bags back to the ferry dock. HOT SHOWER - Other reviewers have complained about getting cold showers. If you want to be a happy world traveler, you have to study world... More

We arrived in Caye Caulker a day earlier than planned, and the place we had reserved for the rest of our stay (Maxhapan Cabanas) was not available, so we had to find another place to stay. We ended up staying at the Morningstar because it looked charming, the price was good ($50/night including tax), and the owner seemed friendly. However,... More

Quiet location away from the main social scene of the Caye. Beautiful clean room with balcony (shared) perfect for sunbathing in the morning and a lovely view. Shower was smelly (sulfurous water) and no hot water. There are cheaper places on the island so look around!!!

We really loved our stay here! It took 21 hours to arrive but once we finally made it there we couldn't have been happier! When we first got off the water taxi the walk seemed to be a bit far but that turned out only to be because we were so exhasuted. The location was perfect. It was close to... More
