Caye Caulker is still the small laid-back relation to the brasher Amergris Caye and San Pedro. Barefoot Beach is about a 10 minute walk to the centre which gives it the solitude that other hotels in the heart of town don't have. The walk is good for developing an appetite on the way in and for aiding the digestion on... more

My wife and I arrived here on our honeymoon, having booked it based on Tripadvisor reviews. We had planned to stay on Caye Caulker for four days, then head inland for ruins and jungle. we ended up staying on Caye Caulker for two weeks, in large part because of Barefoot Beach. We fisrt stayed in the Oceanfront room, then in... more

We would advise anyone to stay at the Barefoot Beach. Beautiful view, nice staff. We stayed in the Oceana Cottage, could see the sea from our front door. Had everything we needed, just like home. Met many other guests and had a BBQ before we left. Can't wait to go back. more

We spent five nights in the Oceanfront room and really enjoyed our stay. There are only three rooms and then three cabins/suites, so the dock over the water never gets crowded and the place is really quiet. For those of us who love the water but aren't sun worshippers, the fact that there's a palapa at the end of the... more

I booked Barefoot Beach from reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. I was a solo traveler, and when traveling tend to seek out budget to mid-range accommodation, with character and comfort being the prevailing deciding factors. This place is great- I wouldn't think twice about recommending it. Susan was super accommodating, place was clean, in a great location, and with great... more

I really had a very relaxing stay here. the rooms were clean and had everything we needed but if your looking for a 5 star hotel, you probably shoudn't go to Caye Caulker. The reason I say that is that the Island is very small and I didn't see any place on the island that I liked any better. We... more

Barefoot beach was a very pleasant place to stay. The owner Susan is very helpful in guiding what you would want to do on the island. The place is a little secluded, which is nice if you want to be away from town. more

I use trip advisor to help me decide where I am going to stay when traveling. Looking at Barefoot Beaches reviews I thought it would be the place to stay. I was wrong and very surprised at the number of good reviews. If you decide you JUST have to stay here, only book one night, take a look around the... more

We stayed four nights here, two night in each of two different rooms. Both were clean and everything worked just the way we expected. Once you take into consideration that you are on an island it is quite remarkable how many comforts and amenities you really do have. The best part of this place is the fact it is right... more

Stayed here a few days with my hubby on honeymoon last year and we loved it. Beautiful location, nice rooms. Look out for the friendly little cat called Oreo, who came to see us every day for a cuddle. Only slight drawback was the noisy air conditioning, but it didn't spoil our stay. more
