Found this park on our last morning in Florida, and what a shame because we could quite easily have spent a full day there, rather than the two hours we had before heading to the airport. There are lots of walks, boardwalks and paths through this wild little landscape. So much nature to see and experience. There are camp grounds... More

We stayed three nights at the campground. The first full day there, my $50 hammock was stolen from our campsite while we were away kayaking. The second night, our neighbors partied until 2 AM, despite a request that they honor the 11 to 7 quiet time rule. The rangers were unconcerned about the theft and did not patrol the campground... This was the most amazing place we went! Breathtaking is the only thing I can say about it. We arrived around 1pm on a Wednesday and we practically had the place to ourselves. The water was crystal clear, pretty warm, and it was so cool to see the fish swimming around under the few logs there were. I would definitely... More

We stayed in the campsite at Wekiwa Springs and really enjoyed it. The facilities for campers were good. Hiking trails were well marked and nice trails to walk. Plenty of birds about and the springs were lovely. All round really enjoyed our stay and would happily go back.

We were able to go on a Wednesday, and it was almost as if we were the only people there. A very romantic escape! However, if you go, make sure to apply a bug repellent!!! The no-see-ums ate me alive!!!!!!

They have designated dog areas, swimming areas, hiking/biking areas, eating areas. It's all beautiful and it's all fun. I've lived in Apopka since the late 1990's, and this park has always been a great place to go. We have picnics there a lot, and my dog loves it (in the dog designated areas of course).

I enjoyed a day here in oct and the water was clear but cold swim after you get used to the cold water. Its a little deep. but its fun and pretty. there canoes, kayaks and other boats cost 18 and up, they said there are alligators in the water.

We had a great experience at this campground, but we went during the threat of hurricane Isaac. For this reason, the place was deserted, and it was really nice for us. I hear it can get miserably busy, but I'm not sure about that. Some campsites are better than others. The ones on the exterior of the circles tend to... More

I stayed at the campground in a pop up during April. Had a blast with the family. The spring is nice and very cool. Clean bathrooms and nice sites. Also did some tent camping on the river for a night with the kids. We came upon a bear during our hike. Made some great memories and had a lot of... More
