We head over to Apalach a couple times a year and always stay at the River Inn. The rooms are always clean, the beds (always get kings) are comfortable and the view of the river is peaceful and inspiring. It's worth the extra $20 to get a second floor room. The balconies, newly screened, are perfect for watching the river... More

The Inn is a rustic and cozy bed & breakfast on the river. We were comfortable and enjoyed the nearby shopping and dining at the Grill. But the morning was the best. I stepped out on our second floor screened-in private balcony to watch the sunrise. I turned back into our room and yelled "Dolphins!". Within a second, the whole... More

Just like the sunrise signals the new beginning on terra firma it triggers the same new beginning on the water. After nights slumber at the first inclings of dawn things begin to happen. The fishing birdsstretch their wings and begin to peer at the water waiting for a clear vision of their first meal of the new day. Tthe dolphins... More

Not five stars but comfortable and relaxing. Private screened balcony overlooking the river, good restaurants and neat shopping within a block, great place to just get away. Looking forward to going back. Must have breakfast at Caroline's! More

Room 8 is so funky and cute! They allow dogs yet it doesn't smell "doggy" and is very clean! The room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the proximity to everything perfect! I would highly recommend this place. It is a little damp in the room because the room sits over the water but who cares? It's clean, comfortable and... More

I recently spent a night at the Apalachicola River Inn and impressed with the entire experience. The hotel has an old time charm complete with old time service and friendly staff. Both restuarants were excellent and the lounge was full of interesting guests both local and tourists. Breakfast in provided at no charge and it was fantastic. Not your usual... More

This is a rustic, Old Florida property much appreciated by a rustic old Floridian like me. Set over the water, it reminded me of my childhood summer "camp" at Horseshoe Beach. Great value, very clean, and a delight for those who know how to appreciate great local seafood at either of two adjoining restaurants, beautiful views, fresh salty air, and... More

Best thing I can say about the River Inn is that "you pay your money and you take your chances." The staff and food at Caroline's is wonderful but the motel is aging & average (at best) and the front desk staff, save a wonderful young lady on nights named Angel, are less than hospitable. For the top shelf price... More

This was our third visit and we can't say enough good things. My husband and I took our three grandsons on all our visits. We stay in the River Cottage and it is bright, clean and very happy. The front desk staff is always welcoming and very helpful. The cottage consists of two bedrooms, one bath plus a huge jacuzzi... More

We were on our way back to the Mountains of Georgia after a funeral of one of our dearest friends. We just needed a place to decompress from this horrible tragedy. We had been here before over 10 years ago and remembered it was peaceful, charming and a slice of heaven. We stayed for two nights and everything was special.... More

The River Inn over looks the Apalachicola River and in fact is built on a pier over the water. Rooms are clean and comfortable and reminded us of the Florida Panhandle 40 years ago. The Inns office is located in what appeared to have been a fish house of wharehouse and has a small liquor store the lobby. The staff... More
