We stayed here one night. Had booked way ahead for the cheapest room, and when we checked in around 6:00, the front desk had upgraded us. We had a comfortable, big room with a queen bed and separate desk/chair area. Bed was good, as was the shower. The front desk was nice as could be and made some good suggestions... more

Loved the hotel. Great location, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. BUT, the noise from the bus depot diagonally across Durant is bad. Buses park up and down the street and stop and start their engines all night (past 2 AM on the Friday when we were there). Stay on any side but Durant and Mill if you're bothered by noise... more

The Mountain Chalet is a perfect hotel for staying in Aspen when visiting the Maroon Bells and the rest of the White River National Forest.
