First, the air conditioner in our room did not work. Second, old guys who were on the unit above us were playing britney spear's music. The east bay area is difficult for finding hotels. Some of the neighborhoods are pretty rough and the hotel prices tend to be out of proportion. Alameda is a nice, safe and quaint city. However, this Days Inn is awful. We practically had to arm wrestle the staff to get extra soap and shampoo. Sketchy people stay at this place. However, I do have to say that this place is affordable and if you want to find a place just to sleep, go here. more
