The Powers family runs a great place. Located in the middle of "nowhere", Whaler's is a remote getaway. We've been three times......salmon, halibut, cod, bears, eagles, humpback whales, stellar sea lions, orcas, etc. etc. etc.........this place ain't fancy, but just enough creature comforts to make you feel like you are not "roughing it", but just enough "rustic" to make you... What a great place to enjoy Alaska. I discovered Whalers’ Cove Lodge while channel surfing on the Sportsman’s Channel and watched a freshwater fishing segment on their co-produced show Alaska’s Fishing Paradise.
