We were guests of the hotel for 11 nights while in DC for education, business, and pleasure. We chose the JW Marriott because it was one of several hotels selected by the conference, it offered a so-called special rate to delegates, and it had few bed bug reports. We made our reservation months in advance. I emailed the hotel a... More

Room was clean and comfortable. Downside Internet charge. Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and help. To save on parking there is a self park on the back side of the building. Great experience. Will definitely return.

Fairly standard rooms and hotel for what you expect. no surprises. Does c convention business. Stayed here mainly for location-- close to museums. Easy to get a cab.

I should start by saying the Marriott is a chain that I use as often as I can but in all honesty the room was a let down especially as I was there for a number of nights. This hotel has a terrific lobby and is ideally located close to the museums and the White House. Its big draw back... More

I only stayed one night for business, but wish I had more time there. Really nice & clean hotel. Professional, friendly staff. Good spaces for meeting with colleagues in lobby. Starbucks right in the lobby makes for quick and reasonable breakfast. Great wine list in lounge - I'd go back just for that! Walking distance to many key sites.

I chose this hotel because it was convenient to where I had business in Washington. I regret it. Where to start. The lumpy bed is the worst I have seen in many years of business and leisure travel. The bed sheets are of low quality as well. The rooms have a very dated shabby feel. Ugly yellow and brown swirl... More

After having read some of the previous review I did not have great expectations for this hotel. We chose it because we are Marriott Gold members and an event we were attending was being held at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. We were upgraded to an Executive King, which was in the corner, so we had a larger than... More

This is a very large property (1300+ rooms) that is walking distance to just about everything. Because of its size it has a somewhat institutional feel. The rooms are about what you would expect from Marriott, comfortable beds, good soundproofing, nice (but somewhat small) bathrooms. The public spaces are all very nice as well, but not extraordinary in terms of... More

This is a very clean hotel near everything in NW DC. The service was excellent, except for getting your car from valet service - it took more than 20 mins. on a Sunday morning. It was disappointing that they charged for wi-fi service in the room (but not in lobby). Walking distance to a lot of attractions.

Spent the weekend at the JW, and punchline is- not up to JW standards across the board. Location- Not bad, but not great either, there are a lot more centrally located hotels in DC we have stayed at. Rooms/Overall Hotel Look Feel- Very disappointing. The rooms are dated and blah looking. I have stayed at regular Marriott's with much better... More
