You can walk to almost everything! There is a coffee shop next to Filene's (one block away) that is reasonable and good food. We asked for a quiet room on lower floor, and received it. We stayed here over Columbus Day weekend. We could not have asked for a better location. We were able to walk to most of the sites as well as the museums. Room was fine but a bit dark - and the 'view' was of other parts of the building. more

Took a stab in the dark and booked this hotel blindly using Priceline. We ended up getting our room for about 40/night less than the going rate. This hotel is blocks from the Mall, White House, etc. Based on the hotel star rating I had I expected a little bit more. But based on the room rate, I can't complain.... more
