Trinidad is an absolutely gorgeous colonial town and I'd absolutely recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to discover 'the real Cuba'. The hotel is quite nice, with clean, large rooms, nice lobby and a pretty good location in Trinidad at walking distance from Plaza Mayor. However, we had to pay 356 CUC for one night... We had a very nice stay here in a terrace room - the highlight being the large balcony outside the room looking onto the town square. Room was nice and spacious and service was friendly. Stayed here 3 nights after the Saratoga. Service considerably friendlier than Havana, but felt the maids a little on the make for tips. We were deeply disappointed by the bar/restaurant when we arrived. Latter and former in fact quite soulless, stuck in a huge room, and for some reason bar decorated in modern orange .
