What a great motel! More or less, everything about this place is perfect: kitchenette with tea and coffees, very high standard of fixtures and fittings, spacious bedroom, excellent TV, comfortable bed, central and quiet location, super clean, lovely balcony with table and chairs, personable management, handy restaurant recommendations. We spent 3 nights at the Harbour View on the middle level and the views were outstanding of the pretty harbour. Keith was very friendly told us a lovely restaurant "Escape to Picton" simply amazing. We stayed on the top level which we recommend as the views are great, can see the Interislander ferry coming and going. more

We would thoroughly recommend this motel. We stayed in top floor Sea View room. We found the hosts (Lynn and Keith) to be wonderful - going out of their way to help us. Friendly hosts, & rooms especially on the second & third floors have great views over the harbour that is close by. The ferry for the Queen Charlotte Sound is only several hundred metres away, as are the shops etc..The room was well appointed with all the comforts of home. We highly recommend this motel. more

We stayed here for three nights to "do" the vineyards and part of the Queen Charlotte track. All the rooms have a superb view over Queen Charlotte Sound. Stayed there one night Jan 09 before taking the ferry to Wellington. Wish we could have stayed longer as it was a great place to stay and the surrounding area had much more to offer than just catching the ferry.
