Well located by the harbour with great views. Easy walk to the Inter-Islander ferry and the Blue Bridge bus stops around the corner although the staff did not mention this. Public areas have been renovated but the bedrooms are old and the bathrooms ancient. Good food in the restaurant. Quite expensive for NZ and odd that reception does not open...

A dissappointment. The room was tired, shabby and in need of refurbishment, not just redecoration. We were only staying one night having got off the ferry before heading south. Didn't bother with the restaurant. Wouldn't return.
