Very welcoming and lots of information available about the area. Even made bookings for us for dinner which was great. Nice, quiet place. Put your feet in the pool. Nice view. Can have with or without breakfast.

This was a lovely place to stay. The house is quite unique and has it's own lounge for guests. Linda made us feel most welcome around the cosy fire complete with wine. Definitely worth staying at if you visit akaroa!

We stayed here for two nights. When we arrived Linda had written a lovely message to us on the blackboard by the front door, which made us feel welcome before we had even met her. Linda could not have made us feel more at home, and her only house rule is that you treat the place as your own. The... More

Our stay at Acapella Lodge was a wonderful introduction to New Zealand. We chose to stay at Acapella Lodge for our first three nights. Linda's attention to detail from drinks on the deck to the fluffy bathrobes in each room make any traveller feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and Linda organised bookings for our evening meals ensuring we... More

Acapella Lodge is a one-of-a-kind house with stunning views of Akaroa. We stayed at Acapella for our last three nights in NZ. It was relaxing and comfortable, and Linda is the perfect host. Bedrooms are well-appointed with all the amenities as well as a private patio. This is a great place for friends traveling together; it felt like our own... More

We had chosen Acapella as the best place to stay in Akaroa as we were travelling with good friends who had not been to NZ before. We were not disappointed. The welcome was warm, location ideal and accommodation superb. Drinks on the sun deck before walking out for a meal was a nice touch.

Linda has created a wonderful B&B that is far above the standard. It is an amazing contemporary house, decorated in tasteful comfort where you can relax, read, and enjoy the lovely view. She is great about recommending places to eat and things to do. An easy walk to everything on the waterfront, and absolutely the nicest B&B I've stayed in.

Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! Linda was a gracious hostess with many ideas on how to spend our time in this quaint resort town. Breakfast is optional and there are two rooms from which to choose, the Ginko and Rimu. It is wonderfully located - everything is within walking distance. We were late arrivals and Linda... More

Akaroa is an absolute delight of a place to visit. Not only is the scenery stunning, but the small towns of the area are full of charm and character. To top the experience we were lucky enough to stay at Acapella Lodge which turned out to be an excellent choice. The lodge is eccentric in design being spread over three... More
