The other reviews say it all. Lovely place just a short walk from the free CAT bus into town. Brilliant cooked breakfasts. David and kwi were great hosts, though there was another lady who was quite unwelcoming. Some issues - Water pressure wasn't too good. Not exactly cheap given the high aussie dollar. More

Our children paid for us to stay in the English suite at Fothergills of Freemantle as a ruby wedding anniversary present. It could not have been a better choice. Having just received our citizenship in Australia it was great to stay in this particular room! The room was so 'English'. Miles away from modern bland hotel rooms but very comfortable,... More

Our family stayed at this lovely B & B last year and it was such a fantastic stay! Our thanks to David and Kwiyeon for making us feel so welcome. Our family stayed at the Samson & O Connor rooms and both rooms were wonderful - spacious, clean and cosy. Our little boy was pretty naughty but David was understanding... More

We were doing a quick 4 day trip to Perth/Fremantle and it didn't take much work to realise Fothergill's of Fremantle had to be THE place to stay: perfect positioning, great choice of rooms, beautiful artwork, many many great reviews and delightful breakfasts! As we were coming in from Melbourne late into Perth we were concerned that it wouldn't be... More

It appears that Fothergills of Fremantle has two buildings/houses. The taxi driver left us at #18 Ord St. That building had the “Fothergills of Fremantle” sign. We knocked and knocked, and rang the bell, but no one came. Then we noticed on our paper that the address for Fothergills was 18-22 Ord St, so we went next door to #20... More

This is our first time staying in a B&B in Australia. We stayed in Samson room for 2 nights. It is uniquely decorated and cosy. It has an additional corridor outside our room which gave us more privacy and a sense of security. The owner, Mr David, is very helpful on introducing us what to do at Fremantle and even... More

Fothergills claims to have the best view of the sunset in Fremantle to be enjoyed with wine and cheese on the balcony. This may be so but unfortunately we found the balcony to be so dirty with cobwebs on the table so that sitting on the balcony enjoying our cheese and wine was not an option. In addition the scene... Australia has become expensive due to their exchange rate, so accommodation prices have risen. Even so, for A$195pn B&B guests are entitled to expect quality, and at Fothergills that is what you get. Yes, as some have commented, some abruptness during the booking process, but the rooms are lovely, (shower room tiny, but the building is over 120 years old),... More

Though the location is slightly away from the fremantle city, the room and service made up for that. The room is clean and spacious with good services from the staffs More
