Quite large room in a modern building, minutes away from the beautiful old town, Avalon was definitely a good choice. The only negative point is breakfast, with a limited continental choice and quite cheap quality (bread, jam, etc). But i would return in this hotel. more

Stayed there for a few days during the holidays. The hotel was standard but nice and clean with helpful personnel. However, special offer with fruits and champaign turned to be bad-prepared. The restaurant at the hotel is great, though breakfast could be much better. more

We choose this hotel because of its position, near to old town but accessible comfortably with the car. This hotel stays exactly at the border of the old town, so you have two entrances - one from modern side and one from old side. From old side you get directly to pedestrian area. The Hotel Avalon is just on the edge of the old town. But considering that old town is fairly compact, its location should hardly be a deterrence. Convinient bus from airport and back 0,40lati/ow, Pay driver in Lati. You can change money at the airport. Step off at busstop "Stockmann". Cross the road and walk back 3minutes. Nice location.
