Just got back from Bratislava yesterday,16/1/12 where we stayed 5 nights at City Hostel. It was too long a stay. 3 days will be just good as the town is very small but beautiful. It is just one hour by train to Vienna for just 11 euros. We went for the day and got to the centre then the hop... More

Excellent value. Hotel rather than hostel. Large clean room. Central location near sights of old town but quiet. Free use of computer in reception. No breakfast. Strongly recommended for reasonably priced, no frills, accommodation. More

The hostel in Bratislava is very well located, in the centre and has restaurants, bars, supermarket and a tram at walking distance. the hostel was quite spacious; it had 2 separate rooms with 2 beds in them. One of the first things that i noticed that the bathroom had a bathtub in it. Which was a definite plus point. The... More

When I arrived in Bratislava on a Monday afternoon, I did not know anyone and only picked City Hostel because the outside looked nice and clean. The rooms were clean and neat with their own personal bath. The staff was friendly and helpful and let me store my bags until the room was clean. It was centrally located on the... More

I liked my stay at City Hostel. The name Hostel is really a misnomer, as "hostel" usually implies some type of communal setting. There is none here - just a small reception with a computer. But if you don't care about socializing with other travelers, this place is great. I just needed a solid night's sleep. I was happy to... More

The location is good and the room we were in was newly done up and very clean and reasonably spacious. The only issue I had was finding the mattress very uncomfortable. However, I would say if you are looking for a cheap sleep in a good location then it is a safe bet. More

I first stayed here in 2008 with a large group, 22-65 years old. Based on my earlier experience I booked again to go with a different group of friends to celebrate a 30th birthday. Stll basic, but comfortable rooms. Powerful shower. Friendly 24hr reception. Good security (but am sure not foolproof). Free Internet access in reception area. Hostel is a... More

About 5 minutes away from the city center on foot. This hostel/hotel is located on a crowded street, with plenty of pubs nearby, but the rooms are very quiet. The reception is open 24/7 which is very convenient. The rooms are very simple, but clean, and they have en suite bathrooms, so actually this is a hotel, not a hostel.... More

Stayed here for one night and can highly recommend it. The staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. The location is convenient for the centre of Bratislava and also not too far from the train station. My room was basic but clean and for the price you couldn't really expect more - in fact I've paid almost 3 times... More
