Me & my friend stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, It was really clean and the staff were excellent, recommending trips. restaurants and helping us with transfers. I would recommend the hotel as long as you buy a Budapest card. I say this for two reasons, firstly there are no shops nearby to by travel tickets (can't buy them... more

Probably you couldn't ask more for this price at 3 stars hotel... The building is far from the centre of the city, the building is pretty old, with old doors not very good isolated, old furniture. The hotel is esay to find. The rooms were wery comfortable and the staf were exstremly nice. We couldn't stay as long as we planed and there was no problem to recall our reservation for further staying. If I ever again come to Budapest Hotel Charles is my choice. more

The hotel is located on a busy road junction. Our room was very noisy and as only the top price rooms have air conditoining, was stiffling hot. Fantastic value for the money! Restaurant had the best gulyas I ate in Budapest. My wife and I needed to switch rooms to get a bathtub, and there was no problem. Great service, really nice, English speaking staff. I will definitely go back, especially for the gulyas! more
