I loved the mercure korona! The buffet breakfast was great, and it is walking distance to the danube and vaci utca. lots of nice restaurants near by, especially on raday utca. There is a new subway line being added, and a lot of construction is still going on in the area, but you cant hear anything in the rooms, and... more

The hotel is located in a good position just outside the metro station. The room was a bit dark but clean. The bathroom was indeed too small. Staff english and italian speaking, business like but not warm at all. In Italy we would have ranked the hotel three stars I guess. Breakfast was not included so we didn't try it;... more

I stayed in this hotel a number of times before and found it ,while clearly not luxurious, but a reliably, clean, pleasant place with professional staff. That is why my experience this time came as very unpleasant surprise. The people at the front desk were unaccommodating, rude and incompetent. When I was checking in I was asking if there was... more

The hotel was very modern and the rooms were comfortable although small. The staff was helpful. We needed a table knife and spoon to eat some food in our room and the restuarant was very acommedating. They had 4 computers in the lobby that we could use to check our email. It was only 2 blocks from the Great Market... more

I was there just for one night. We decided for this Mercure because of its convenient location in Pest, quite close to the place we would have visited the day after and thanks to the nice restaurant and pub area it is close to. Nevertheless the service we experienced has been a bit poor: a listless front man checked me... more

We've choosen just because it is a company prefered hotel and it is very close to the office. I also included my complains to the hotel, and their answer....at the end, I was the stupid, because I did not understand the system!!! So...rooms are very small, dark, and in the new building there is no possibility to open the window!... more

The biggest advantage of this hotel is the location in the middle of the city and the metro right outside the door. It is not a bad place to rest your legs either. Nothing fancy but clean and well kept with the service you require on a short visit to a big city. more

This hotel is the worst I've every stayed in while in Europe. The rooms are small and dank. The bathroom is the size of an airplane bathroom. The beds are like cots and so hard that even my teenage daughter complained of a backache. The air conditioning barely worked ensuring we were uncomfortable all night. Breakfast buffet is mediocre. Another... more

Could not walk in the room with suit cases bbieng put on tables and chair. Had to walk side ways. Breakfast food should be labeled in English so tourist from... more

I stayed at the Korona 3 nights and I can't really distinguish it at all from any other big-chain hotels I have stayed in. I guess it is a nice but dull hotel with perfect location for sightseeing but with a complete lack of soul. The rooms are quite small, especially the bathroom, but clean, modern and most of all... more
