Stay here for skiing weekend on Kanin (hotel is 1km from cable car). Hotel is situated at beautiful place, surrounded by gorgeous nature. Bovec is excellent place for spending few days in Spring or Summer holidays if you like small challenges for urban people. Kanin is the option when you love canioning, rafting, climbing and whatevere -ing (you will find all of it in Bovec) you can imagine that raises adrenaline in your body but still you are sticked to large chain hotels... We stoped in Bovec for one night as we rode bicycles from Italy to Bled. Although Hotel Kanin was no where near as luxurious as the other places we stayed on our trip, it was clean and we were comfortable - important after riding 97 km most of it climbing.

My boyfriend and I used the Kanin as a base whilst enjoying the Bovec extreme sports offerings. We basically required a good bed, a pool and sauna (to recover in the evenings) and a solid breakfast to get us going. And we got that, apart from the sauna, which only worked once out of the three times we tried it.... More

Our room was small, clean and functional - no space for two suitcases. Most impressive was the view from our room and balcony watching changing weather conditions over the mountains. A short walk into town where there are a few good restaurants. Took the long walk back from dinner through the fields.

We really like our stay here at this hotel. Fantastic view both from from our comfortable room with balcony and from the restaurant, helpful personnel and nice and tasty range of dishes to choose from during dinner (we had half board). Good value for your money. Free wi-fi in the reception area.

A pretty nice 3 star hotel and relativelly good value for money, specially during low season. I read previous reviews which wrote some very bad comments. I would not totally agree with them. This year hotel got a new manager and in november there were some renovations going on. They've changed sofas in lobby, moved TV, put some mountain pictures on the walls, new signs form rooms and I think that also bathrooms in south wing were renovated. Rooms are not big or something special but I love that mornig view on rising... More
