Charming hostel a little out of the city, with great views. It has a very homey vibe with their pet cats often invading peoples beds, no shoes indoors and pet goats. Stayed here for three nights and we enjoyed their game night. They also offer free dinners on Tuesday, Friday and Thursday in the form of themed food nights. I recommend. There is also free breakfast, with vegan options provided upon request. They had toast and cereal and coffee/tea. Some theme nights have vegan options if you ask. Only critique is that bath rooms are dated and parts are dusty. Breakfast is from 8-11am, which in my opinion, started kind of late considering most people staying are planning hikes with early starts. It would be great if breakfast could start an hour earlier. I think, which was standard in other hostels I stayed in

They suck , they have forgotten about what their goal was and their new one is take all money and give u terrible service in return . Paid for a suite on the harmony of the sea to get double points but after doing that they only gave us single points . Are only reason for doing the suite was for the double points . But because we did the upgrade to a suite that dose not count as a suite ,sounds like bull to me . So my only recourse is to never cruise with them again.

Staff makes an effort to create a community atmosphere. Facilities were OK. Generous breakfast with cream cheese, home-made jam and often whole-wheat bread. Information on the surroundings. Location is rather far from the town center. Many people on a relatively small space (small kitchen and buffet). Perhaps more of a problem when the weather is bad and you can not sit outside.

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Staff are all volunteers who want to be there, so they are very helpful, amazing individuals. The atmosphere of the hostel is warm, welcoming and relaxed. The free breakfast (bread, spreads, cereal, tea and coffee) is an added perk. All spaces are kept clean, and they have good good waste management system put in place. There are only three dorms and one communal space, so it's quite cozy and very easy to get to know people. It doesn't feel like a business at all, and more like a home away from home. There are also two cats and a goat, which are fun to interact with. It's quite far from central Zakopane, so the environment is very quiet and tranquil. If you are here for skiing, one pass (Tatry SuperSki) gives you access to multiple resorts (incl. Male Ciche, Bialka Tatrzanska and Harenda), so you can buy a multi-day pass (more economical), and pick the resort day by day. Kasprowy Wierch is not included, but the pistes were not open during my stay. Private buses service Male Ciche & Bialka Tatrzanska, whereas for Harenda walk 20 min to Zakopane Imperial, and take Bus #14. Public buses are modern, punctual and reliable, whereas private buses are pretty shaky, Google maps gives false information, and you need to check the printed timetables and decipher the hieroglyphics. For Bialka Tatrzanska, it's advisable to go to Zakopane first. If only skiing in Bialka Tatrzanska, it would be better to stay in Zakopane instead. The hostel has some hiking and skiing equipment (e.g. snow goggles) for hire. You're going to want to hire skis/snowboard daily at the resort (which makes very little difference in price).

I had my reservations about Good Bye Lenin but by the end of my trip, I was extremely pleased with the location, the state of the hostel, but especially with the staff who are very friendly and ready to give you advice on the best hiking trails/attractions. The hostel is situated just a few minutes walking from a National park with a network of trails that will take you all the way to the famous morskie oko (or there is a bus stop outside that will take you the trailhead for 10 PLN). The breakfreast Is free; just cereal, toast, coffee and tea. I recommend this hostel for anyone who doesn't mind meeting people and is interested in a fun laid back place to stay

Goodbye Lenin is situated a 5 minute bus ride from the town centre. The hiking trails are at your door step. They have every facility covered, and with helpful staff ready to accommodate any needs we had. It is small and we did experience it being a little overcrowded at times, sharing the cooking space in the kitchen for example was tricky. We loved Zakopane and our stay here @ Goodbye Lenin, and are already talking about coming back here one day!!!

Great little hostel, a short bus ride out of Zakopane and literally a two minute walk to one of the main trails leading into the Tatras. Lovely staff, simple and clean facilities. Extremely quiet location. Only consideration, the kitchen is quite small which means preparing food is a bit of a juggling act. Otherwise, a great little hostel.

Located an easy bus ride out of the centre of Zakopane, Good Bye Lenin Hostel is truly a gem of a hostel. The facilities are basic, as you would expect when the price is dirt cheap, but breakfast is included! The best thing about this place is how it feels like home. The common area is super cosy and both staff and other guests are so friendly. Amazing hikes and beautiful scenery are easily located from the hostel by walking or via bus. Would highly recommend.
