One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Staff are all volunteers who want to be there, so they are very helpful, amazing individuals. The atmosphere of the hostel is warm, welcoming and relaxed. The free breakfast (bread, spreads, cereal, tea and coffee) is an added perk. All spaces are kept clean, and they have good good waste management system put in place. There are only three dorms and one communal space, so it's quite cozy and very easy to get to know people. It doesn't feel like a business at all, and more like a home away from home. There are also two cats and a goat, which are fun to interact with. It's quite far from central Zakopane, so the environment is very quiet and tranquil. If you are here for skiing, one pass (Tatry SuperSki) gives you access to multiple resorts (incl. Male Ciche, Bialka Tatrzanska and Harenda), so you can buy a multi-day pass (more economical), and pick the resort day by day. Kasprowy Wierch is not included, but the pistes were not open during my stay. Private buses service Male Ciche & Bialka Tatrzanska, whereas for Harenda walk 20 min to Zakopane Imperial, and take Bus #14. Public buses are modern, punctual and reliable, whereas private buses are pretty shaky, Google maps gives false information, and you need to check the printed timetables and decipher the hieroglyphics. For Bialka Tatrzanska, it's advisable to go to Zakopane first. If only skiing in Bialka Tatrzanska, it would be better to stay in Zakopane instead. The hostel has some hiking and skiing equipment (e.g. snow goggles) for hire. You're going to want to hire skis/snowboard daily at the resort (which makes very little difference in price).…
