We spent two nights at the Hotel Royal. Our room was huge and well furnished. While we did have a room above the street, the trams are not that loud and we had a beautiful view of the Planty. Breakfast was everything you could ask for, and both the bar and restaurant on site were great. I highly recommend this... More

I spent two nights in Hotel Royal, Krakow. The room was nice, with high ceiling. Very good location near the Wawel Castle and 10 minutes walk to the Main square. Clean. Breakfast was good. However it is very noisy if you get a room with street view - you could hear the tram and cars at all hours. My window... More

On a recent visit to Poland with my brother to see the Auchswitz and Birkenau museums I had the good fortune to stay at the Royal Hotel, Krakow. The hotel is situated under the ramparts of the Wawel castle where the Old Town and the Kazimierz districts meet. The best surprize though was the value of the the hotel restaurant,... More

Location, location, location.... This hotel is situated smack in the middle of all of the important sights in Krakow. A 7-10 minute walk to the Old town square (Stare Miasto), and about the same distance to Kazimierz (the jewish district). A lot of the sightseeing-trams also depart from this end of Grodzka street, and some tramroutes stop right outside the... More

Great location is Royal's biggest advantage. It's placed literally a stone's throw from Wawel Castle, a 10-minute walk from the Square and the Central train and bus station. It's a perfect place to stay when you plan sightseeing Kraków. For our four-day stay, me and my colleague have booked a two-bed apartment, but on arrival we received a free upgrade... More

Would have rated this excellent but a friend in our party had a very noisy room. Ours, (Room 318), overlooked the castle and park and was quiet and vast. I'd say that the room was easily 30 feet long with 12 foot ceilings. The twin beds were 4'6" doubles. The room was lovely and warm and actually echoed when you... More

My fiancé and I just went on a trip to Poland to visit the Auswich-Birkenau Museum. It was very cold on Poland which is expected this time of year, but what we did not expect was the warmest hospitality we've ever experienced wile traveling. Krakow's Royal Hotel is a gorgeous establishment with character, history, and an outstanding staff of the... More
