The recent renovation of the venerable old Francuski (still ongoing in the restaurant) is tasteful and has preserved much of the old hotel's wonderful atmosphere and charm. The folks at the front desk couldn't be more helpful, friendly, and willing to assist. Our room on the fourth floor was very comfortable, clean, and with sparkling new bathroom fixtures. The hotel... We stayed here 4 nights on a trip to visit Auschwitz. We were driving in, and arrived late at night. Around midnight. They waited up for us to check in, and to park our car in an off street facility. They parked it for us. Our room was actually two rooms. A lounge and bedroom. Much larger than we expected,... More

Enjoyed a weekend-stay at Francuski w my girlfriend. We both loved the place! It´s an elegant, old-school hotel w great qualities. Seems very well managed. Perfectly situated in the old town with friendly and english-speaking staff. A quite romantic place. The interior is really classic, so if you prefer the more modern, minimalistic way.... don´t bother! The only negative comment... More

Booked a short city break to Krakow and chose to stay at the Francuski having read some good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Although this isn't a modern hotel, it has an elegance to it from times gone by and feels very homely and comfy. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and do all they can to assist you. Absolutely wonderful. I spent 2 weeks traveling from krakow to berlin and this was my favorite hotel. The staff was wonderful, room was great, bathroom luxurious. Then there is the included breakfast, amazing buffet and coffee, but then a whole menu of incredible selections. The presentation of the sweet cheese pancakes was so impressive I took a picture. The restaurant... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights. It was our first visit to Krakow and the hotel's location was perfect for walking to the many historic sites of Krakow. There are wonderful restaurants and shops close by and the neighborhood is excellent. The hotel is lovely (the staircases are right out of "Gone With the... More

I visited this hotel with a group and was given a single room at the back. The room was small and furnished with old dark wood furniture, just a little bit shabby but very charming. Some air conditioning noise from the kitchen, no air conditioning in my room (this did not matter in September). Bathroom was modern and clean. A... More

This hotel is exceptionally well located, in the north part of the old city, right next to the old city walls, and a few blocks from the lively central square. A very short walk to the outdoor public market to the north, too. The neighborhood is excellent, and there are lots of restaurants, shops, etc with a few blocks range.... More
