The Mercure/Accor company has bought the Orbis hotel chain in Poland soon after the 1989 collapse. I was leery when I saw the town, which does not have much to draw tourists, but very pleased with my experience here. Only in the hotel for about 12 hours, but the room was comfortable. Our group had dinner and breakfast which was very acceptable.

Good condition and place for stay and visiting of Częstochowa, particulary to visit of Monastery. Short distance to monastery is specialy important for old people and sick, with trouble of moving. To high prices for stay with pets.

The receptionists are not so kind and helpfull. The galsses and carpet were dirty in the room. The location is very good. The rooms are comfortable. If the service will be better, I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Unfortunately, there's not much choice in Częstochowa. Apparently, the Mercure is the best hotel in town. Breakfast was 50 pln for a measly buffet and parking cost 40 pln a day! But, I had no choice. The hotel looks horrible from the outside and the same inside. Horrible!
