We arrived at 8.00pm only to find a phone number on the door telling us to ring for entry (not easy when you have only been in the country 3/4 of an hour) Eventually got let in by a friendly if not multi-lingual chap as advetised When we booked our 4* honeymoon stay. Somthing seemed wrong wfen i asked about... More

After expecting to arrive at a four star hotel was left devastated with the realization that this hotel below sub-zero standards and any rating for this supposed hotel (hovel) would be too good. Staff were rude and aggressive as well as unhelpful when you raised concerns regarding the conditions of the room. No hot water on a daily basis, unable... More

This is the first time I have written a review after staying in a hotel, but I wanted to actually share my experience as the Winston Churchill Hotel really does have the potential to spoil your holiday experience. I was a little apprehensive after booking this hotel as I read a series of disappointing reviews on here; to be honest... More

When i read this hotel received tripadvisor scores of 4.2 I thought most people would have found this hotel OK . Four stars not likely two if you are lucky . The room had beds which might be best described as antiques squeaking every time you moved , the pillows were so thin they did not support your head and... More

Hotel is basic, rooms clean and functional but no attention to detail or niceties. Its a fair way from the city centre in a less than celubrious area of Prague. Breakfast is adequate but rather limited, staff are busy but not sociable. Reception staff are disinterested but not unhelpful. There is no lounge area but an outside courtyard has some... More

On the good side, I'd say that the hotel was very good if we take into account we were four people and we had two adjoining rooms and two bathrooms, which was very comfortable. There was a minifridge in one of them, and a small kitchenette. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, with a lot of natural light. Breakfast was... More

wish i'd taken more time to read reviews before my friend and I stayed at this hotel. it was certainly not a 4*star hotel (more like a 2*) and the description on line was nothing like the reality - curtains falling off rail, cracked sink, threadbare towels and tepid water for 2 days out of 3. breakfast very disppointing and... The room was a single room with 1 single bed, for that it was ok with a good shower & minimal toiletries provided, thats the end of the good bit ! I arrived at the hotel around 1645 to find a couple who had been waiting 2 hours to get into reception to pick up there luggage, they had checked... More

Well Guys, The bilingual staff is not that bilingual and the check-in is problematic. The rooms is nice, but the breakfast it's almost nothing (very humble - let's call that way). I think that other hotels near the river it's a wiser choice. We stayed with 2 couples. Neither liked the hotel. try other, if you can.

This Hotel is situated in a rough end of Prague. During our stay the sheets and towels provided were of uncertain age and condition and the whole building could do with redecorating. Breakfast will light no fires. Parking around the hotel is a nightmare and public car parks are expensive. To finish, this hotel is situated some 30 minutes walk... More
