Would not call this a hotel but a place that lets out rooms and then you fend for your self. First the good points. Location is brilliant. Every thing is very clean, sheets lovely crisp and white, bathroom spotless. The not so good points. We had the loft room which was 3 floors up with no lift. Did not feel... More

The “House at King George’s” perches above two pubs on a narrow side street. The rooms are pretty bare but have a bit more charm than they used to. The ceilings are high, and the dark wooden furniture is another improvement. Ask for a room in back if you want to deaden the clamor of the pubs below. Breakfast is... More

We stayed at The King George for 6 nights in August'11 on friends recommendation, they had stayed there a few years earlier. We had a very comfortable stay. Our double room was on the first floor away from the street and very quiet. A large room so plenty of space, can open windows for fresh air. 20-25C during our stay... More

This hotel is terrible. 1) the room is too small; 2) a tiny TV with only one English program (CNN); 3) the telephone in the room doesn't wok; 4) you can only get to hotel rooms duing the hours when the reception desk is open 8am-8pm; 5) the receptionists speak poor English; 6) they never give what they promise, i.e.,... I booked this Hotel through Booking.com, the contract was in Euros. The Hotel pulled a bate and switch on check-out and charged Czech Crowns at an inflated exchange rate. If they wanted to be honest about this they should have said something at check-in. Ended up costing an extra $100 for the 4 day stay. After this expereince I found... More

We stayed in this hotel in 2004 which is why we came back to it. This hotel is excellently placed in the heart of the tourist section of old-town Prague. In 2 mins you are at the Charles Bridge, in 5 mins you are at the old town square and in 10 mins you are at Wenceslas Square. The hotel... More

This hotel il lovely. If you don't need a jakuzy or other fancy stuff King George is simply the best choice you can make for a romantic stay in Prague Clean room, kind staff, very goog breakfast, incredibly cheap!! Plus it is in the best position you may dream of: between Charles Bridge and the Old City Square.

This is a great hotel: very central, clean, friendly and helpful staff, more than adequate breakfast, great bar (run separately). If you want a bit of space, ask for room 5 but be warned, the stairs to get to it are very steep! The only downside was being woken up by a drunk at 5am each morning - no the... More

The hotel is very close to the main attractions of the Old Town. In 10-20 minutes you´ll reach most of the interesting places by walk. That is an advantage. The rooms are old, would need restoration, but quite ok. Rooms 1 and 2 are situated by a narrow alley where people are making a lot of noise , specially between... More
