Our room had view of abandoned run-down building. We had neighbors that chain-smoked and the smell was awful throughout the hall, in our room and coming in the window. The beds were very uncomfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and assisted immediately with all requests (including extra duvet for uncomfortable beds) and were able to do so in... More

The hotel is located in a quiet suburb with plenty of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The Cannon bar and U Cerne Kocky being particularly good for both food and drink. The number 22 tram is a 5-10 minute walk away and takes you into the Centre of Prague in about 10-15 minutes. A 5 day tram ticket... More

This hotel was part of an Air France package tour. It was very difficult to find. Location is VERY inconvenient located quite a distance from the city center. Nothing good near it for restaurants, etc. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful Morning breakfast was dreadful. Avoid this hotel at any cost...not worth the effort you will encounter getting around Prague

About 10 minutes walking to the tram. Tram line lead straight to the city centre. Nice, quiet and clean room. Very safe area around the hotel. Staff very, very friendly and helpful.

Location might not be central but it has its advantages - was a very quiet area, and in its own way more Prague. There were useful amenities nearby - supermarket, italian and chinese restuarants within minutes walk. Easy to get there and back with the city's excellent tram system, the stop is 5-10 mins walk away, some downhill and some... More

My friends and I also booked a trip through GoToday in which we were assigned to this hotel while in Prague. The four of us are also New Yorkers who are used to walking everywhere. Much like the other review, this hotel is definitely a hike from the nearest source of transporation. If you like hiking up and down hills,... More

Hmmm, where do I start? Hotel Marketa was the 3rd hotel on a 3 city trip to Europe. My friends and I went from staying at a 4 star hotel in Berlin to a Ramada to Hotel Marketa - in other words, the hotels got pregressively worse, but let's focus on Hotel Marketa. This is not the hotel for you... More

We booked through Go-Today for a trip to Prague in March. The hotel was inconviently located, a very long and difficult walk to all attractions and public transportation and we are relatively young, healthy, and robust New Yorkers used to walking. It is just off our travel maps and had we not taken a cab from the airport, I don't... More

The hotel was nice and in a quiet area. I would recommend it but people need to know: It is on the top of a hill with no public transport to the door. The lift does not service the ground floor, so you need to be able to tote your bags upstairs. Public transport is available at the bottom of... More

We spent a week at Hotel Marketa and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and modern, but did have a hint of smoke although it didn't bother my wife or me. The front desk personnel were all friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the occasional noise of the other guests. We were on the first floor near... More
