5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2012 NEW

We travelled in southern Spain for 2 weeks, stayed in several lovely places in various cities and villages, and agree that the San Gabriel was the winner. Definitely hard to negotiate the streets around it and parking, though free, was a bit out of the way (in a nearby town lot), but other than that, not a single down side... More

We stayed in the hotel for one night as part of our honeymoon. When we arrived we found that we had been upgraded to a sumptuous junior suite, and were subsequently presented with a bottle of champagne. This, and the helpfulness of the staff, made our stay truly memorable. Our room was large with a four post bed and a... More

We and another couple (all in our fifties) stayed at this hotel in May 2012 just for one night. Its in a small side street about 5 minutes walk one way from the bridge and 5 minutes the other way from the really old part of town. We parked the car in the hotel's narrow street, unpacked our luggage and... More

Fabulous small, friendly hotel in quiet part of town across the old bridge. Close enough to walk to interesting sites of historical interest, stunning views and range of restaurants. Helpful, pleasant and English speaking staff. Our upgraded room was a treat with spacious bathroom and huge shower. Pleasant Lounge area and good breakfast. Small cinema on site but didn't have... As other reviews have indicated this hotel has just about everything. Great location - steps from the famous bridge. Ambience - the hotel is located in an historical building that is beautifully furnished with antiques. Comfortable, spacious rooms. There is even a small theatre which shows videos. There is safe parking a five minute walk away. The front desk is friendly... More

This hotel, in a large old house, has a beautiful old interior with a wooden galleried staircase, old furniture and paintings. The armosphere was cosy and 'home like'. There were rave reviews about the breakfast here but we found it rather ordinary and not as expected with only a limited spread and canned fruit rather than fresh fruit Wifi service... More

This small hotel is quite wonderful. Every nook and cranny reflects its warmth and personality. The staff is delightful and most helpful. We loved staying at the San Gabriel. It is a place of character--each room has its own personality. We had two rooms and each was quite different and yet served our needs very well. It is a very... More

We only stayed here one night and wished it had been longer. What a great hotel! We had a lovely room that was large and exceptionally clean. The common areas were comfortable and very nicely decorated and we really liked the quirky screening room where you're able to watch the DVDs they have in stock. Definitely take advantage of the... As part of cycling tour we spent 3 nights in this wonderful Hotel. Situated very close to the New Bridge and Gorge it's in a quiet side street. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. What made it special was the nature of the building and rooms, no mass produced concrete building but a fascinating structure with inner courtyard eclectic library... More

Top value for the money, really. Great boutique hotel. Interior and rooms are superbly charming and the rate was so reasonable at 95 Euros a night for a very spacious junior suite. Breakfast was included, but parking was extra at a nearby public lot that has special rates for the hotel. It is a bit tucked away in Ronda, but... More
