Very comfortable and faithful to the experience of a century ago. Get a room on the gorge side if you can. The views are stunning. Take your time and enjoy.

This hotel is 5 to10 minutes walk from the centre of town and is delightfully set in its own grounds which has the advantage of being VERY QUIET! Free parking is a bonus. The hotel was a little tired but you could not get tired of the views from it. It is appropriately named becasue the atmosphere is very Victorian, as is some of the decor. However it was clean and spacious and the staff polite and helpful. It was also very reasonbly priced.

Somewhat old fashioned but clean and in good order. Good location, easy walking distance to town and to the viaduct. The gardens to the rear of the hotel have attractive views, but are disappointingly poorly maintained.
