1 night, everything good: price is very decent, bit off the town (good if you have a car, bad otherwise), clean, comfortable, quiet. there is a kitchen and bbq to cook your own kangaroo steak ;)

We stayed here on Sunday 18th March. Myself and my friend drove down from Melbourne and fished off the pier in Port Campell (we didnt catch anything), but the cottage we stayed at was drift away approx 5km out of town was great. We arrived before check in and the owner Susan and her daughter were at the property cleaning... More

We stayed 1 night and it was pretty much 1 night too long. Upstairs of the cabin was extraordinarily hot with a ridiculous evaporative cooler mascara ding as a/c. There was no lounge downstairs but given the heat upstairs there was nowhere to sit. My poor kids somehow managed to sleep upstairs - not sure how. Overpriced and would not... More

We stayed at Drift Away cottage which is removed from the other cottages. Kids loved it, it was rustic and covered all requirements. Chickens were a big hit with our family. Enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the old house/cottage 4km from Eastern Reef main complex. This was an old farm house. This was by far the most expensive and least value for money of all the similar style of accommodation we stayed in during our great Ocean Road trip - all booked through similar sites. The cottage has no heating apart from a... More

We have been going to Eastern Reef for 6 years now. We normally go on the queens birthday holiday weekend. We lobe going there. Sue and Vince have done a great job with the the cottages and they are all very comfy for a short stay. We are yet to stay in the Driftaway cottage, but that will happen on... More

Our 15 year old daughter had been on a student leadership for 5 weeks (out of 9). We hadn't seen her or heard her voice for all that time. It was parent visiting weekend and I just wanted somewhere cosy, warm, friendly and comfortable so we could all catch up and chat. THIS WAS PERFECT. A wonderful homely cottage with... More

After travelling for 2 weeks and staying in 4 and 5 star hotel rooms we booked drift away cottage after realising we could not do the next drive within one day and seeing all the sights on the great ocean road. Owner stated it wasnt luxury accommodation but we were suprsed to find a really cute, quirky cottage, fire was... More

We stayed here when travelling up the great ocean road. We stayed in the Bay Reef cottage. For two nights it was perfect. The people were really friendly and made us feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a short drive from the 12 Apostles. It was only a few minutes drive from the main centre.... More

Six of us spent a night in the cottage next to the main entrance. To our surprise, the cottage we stayed in doesn't actually have any room. There was one double bed in the hall downstairs, one double and 2 single beds upstairs. This was the first time I slept on a bed placed next to the living, dining and... More
