We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the Deluxe Motel rooms. The room is of a good size and spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. This is not luxury accommodation but is good, simple and honest. It is also excellent value and very comfortable. The owners, Chris and Eula, made us feel very welcome and it is obvious that... More

A lovely clean and peaceful place with very helpful and friendly owner - who could ask for more?! Just be warned - all eating places in Bicheno shut around 2030 so make sure you eat earlY! At the bottom of the road cross over and you wil find Red Bill Beach with white sands, clear clean water and shallow until... More

This basic motel was perfect for our needs. The room, while small, was spotless and had everything we needed for a one night stay. The bed was very comfortable. While parking was just outside the unit, it was surprisingly quiet despite being almost full occupancy. The owner was very helpful in organizing for us to see that evening the fairy penguins.... More

Our two bedroom apartment here was perfect for two adults and two teens. The room was spotlessly clean, and very well equipped (everything we could want for a pancake breakfast!) The bedrooms were small - eg no bedside tables - but very clean and comfortable. An easy walk into town for dinner - a nice stroll along the beach front... More

My wife and I booked Wintersun Gardenview as a last minute booking during three weeks bumming around Tas. Only one room was available and only for two nights, referred to as 'the last room' because it is, I guess, the worst, (through the utility area, no view, etc).... this was the warning I got over the phone...... My wife worried... More

We booked this place based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Clean, quiet and a good comfortable bed... What more can you ask? We stayed in the old units and they have obviously done up: simply and nicely. Breakfast was a bonus and very reasonably priced. Our hosts were very helpful with advice as well.

My husband and I stayed for one night and had booked the deluxe room for $120. The "deluxe" room turned out to be the disabled room. Although it had an enormous bathroom, it was a basic motel room with few amenities. I thought it was expensive for the price. The best thing about the place were the gardens. It was... More

We recently stayed at Wintersun Gardens Motel for one night while travelling around Tassie on motorcycles. The room was clean and well-aired, the bed was new and very comfortable and the shower was great after a long day on the bike. It was raining in the evening and being one kilometre out of town and on a motorbike, the last... More

Stopped by Bicheno for a night to join in the penguin tours during the recent trip toTasmania, and stayed at Wintersun Gardens Motel. First impression, nice garden with pretty flowers in bloom. Roomis clean, but small. My room also felt crammed because there is a single and a queen bed in it. Facilities are basic. Room can be noisy as... More
