Whilst this hotel could do with a makeover, the rooms are adequate, clean & not in disrepair. The included breakfast is nice. Cereals, juice, tea, coffee & toast. Basic but complimentary & enough to get you going in the morning. The location is fantastic. 2 blocks from the centre of Kingscote, where you can find the basics of what you... More

This motel has seen better days. Out room was clean but very dated and a bit sad. The staff at reception were very nice and the location was good but I wouldn't stay again unless I had to.

Arrived to warm welcome, room somewhat of a shock, had to clean the kitchen out prior to use however then decided to eat out for the rest of our stay (4nights), decor definately needs updating, we stayed in the Matthew flinders suite which had great viewsand location but situated on top of owner's living space who are smokers, so if... We stayed in the Matthew Flinders Family Suite (a 2 bedroom apartment upstairs with a balcony with great views across the water) for about a week. Although it has its own kitchen, you still get the included continental breakfast. You also get daily servicing (beds and bathroom, but not the kitchen) which surprised me as I thought being more of... More

Seaside units had good sea views and facilities in rooms quite OK. Breakfasts were basic but disappointing in that only instant coffee (unbelievable!) and muesli essentially just rolled oats. Hosts were helpful.

This is a great place to stay for your last night before catching an early flight out. Be sure to see the penguins. I would not recommend staying here longer, since the area isn't that interesting and it's a ways away from many of the other sights on the island. We stayed 2 nights at Kangaroo Island Wilderness Resort, and... More

My husband and I had a very pleasant and enjoyable 4 night stay here. The motel is basic, quiet, and clean with good views on the waterfront of Kingscote. A continental breakfast is good and is included: for an extra fee one can order a fine cooked full breakfast. Tim and Bobby the owners were very helpful both on the... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night on a two day tour of KI. We didn't choose this hotel, it came as part of the tour package we had purchased. You do have a view of the water and is 5 min walk to the jetty and restaurants in Kingscote. There is a "pool" across the road beside the... More

We spend a week in this Motel and found it was a great base to explore the Island. There is an excellent washing machine available what we enjoyed a lot. The place is quiet in the night and close to the Kingscote attractions (Pelicans, Pens).

They were very helpful when I made my reservations--helped me arrange 2 days of tours that took me from Adelaide and back. Small motel, typical motel room with everything I needed. Very nice breakfast was included. A short walk to a little aquarium with the most facinating sea life and the fairy penguin tour at night. Just across the street... More
