Was working in Kempsey area for the week and was recommended to come here by another colleague. It was a very nice surprise. Rooms were clean and cozy. Staff at the reception were very friendly as well. Had dinner at the restaurant which was relatively good. Will definitely recommend for a good night's rest.

My partner and our friends decided - rather late in the year - to head up to South West Rocks for 4 nights over New Years Eve. Try as we might, we couldn't find a holiday rental house with availability, or that didn't require 7-14 night minimum stay from Friday to Friday. So we decided to try the Rockpool Motor... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights, it had everything we needed and more, great location, short walk to the shops/restaurants and clubs, whilst also close the attractions, Gaol, Lighthouse etc. would highly recommend to anyone, and would most definitely stay again. It ticked all the boxes, spacious, very clean, pool, brekky if you wanted and a restaurant in... More

I was disappointed on arrival at The Rockpool that it was completely in the middle of suburbia - no coastal view at all. However the motel looked nice, as did the pool area. My room had a funny smell - sort of drains plus chlorine - not pleasant at all. We didnt dine in the restaurant because we noticed that... More

Overpriced and overcharged on credit card ! Far from 4 star standard bedspread had old food stuck on it and everytime we returned to the room after it had been cleaned the room was full of flies the managers have zero guest relation skills save your money you would be better off elsewhere or in a tent

We made a very last minute decision to stay in this motel - we arrived in South West Rocks about 6pm and everywhere else was booked up. We paid $180 for the last room (a "spa"room), which consisted of a bed (clean and comfortable), a settee, a kitchenette and a bathroom with a spa bath surrounded by slightly mouldy tile... More

We stayed at the Rockpool for 4 nights in December 2006. We have been to SWR many times but this was our first stay in the Rockpool. The underground parking is good (though not secure as listed). There are no lifts, there is a ramp for access to one of the levels but I believe they do have access for... More

The Rockpool is an upmarket version of an Australian motel. We were there one night only on our way north, and I remembered neighbours of ours had always gone to South West Rocks for their holidays, so I thought it might very a nice place to stop. Well, dear readers, it was. It is a gorgeous small town perched on... More
