This is the second time I have been to this hotel and the first time was disappointing, but more recently I was really turned off. Each time I have stayed here I had a different room and each time the bathroom was like from a third world. Stained, dirty and the shower head is like a high pressure hose sticking... More

We paid for 2 nights here through a groupons deal. After 24 hours in the place I had to leave. It was dark uncomfortable and old in a depressing way. The staff were very friendly and that's the only thing going for the place. I feel we paid way to much for an uncomfortable bed in a tiny outdated room.... More

The 2 star accommodation needs updating and better cleanliness. No room cleaning or towel changes during our 2 day stay. Curtains torn in the room. The dining room menu had 5 items to chose from with 2 finished after our order. Our food was not very well prepared. The main lounge was large with a pool table. However one of... More

This is not a fancy hotel. It's a Plain Jane but it had great character and offers a nice humble experience which left us feeling pretty well done by. The receptionist was just a delight nd gave us a tour on arrival of the charming and interesting premises filled with treasures from yesteryear. If you like porcelains figurines and the... More

We have stayed here 3 times in a family room each time. This time the room was made up but the floor had not been cleaned at all. It was swiftly fixed. The public space with free snooker and endless board games the kids love keeps us happy. The all inclusive breakfast was also a big draw are and helped... More

We arrived for 2 nights and had pre paid...otherwise we would not have stayed at all! The place needs a good over haul...it's musty and old.The beds were damp...my husband could feel the damp coming out of the mattress when the electric blanket was switched on..[yes, first time I encountered electric bankets in a '4 star' hotel!!! Breakfast was not... More

Kind of like Fawlty Towers, but run by young people, and with better common areas. Actually, the decor is almost exactly like Fawlty Towers. Picture a room at FT. And now imagine it hasn't been renovated since then: that's Hotel Blue. Breakfast is cooked fresh, if you can locate the charming adolescent who takes your order. Indeed, check in and... More

Our stay at Hotel Blue was fantastic - I was little hesitant about booking a B&B, but this was just great. We'd been tossing up whether or not to book a motel a bit closer to the Three Sisters, and I'm really glad we didn't - they looked run down, and the area around the Three Sisters looked just crowded... We spent 6 nights on the road recently, and this was BY FAR our favorite hotel. The customer service was the kind you don't usually experience anymore, and the hotel was exquisite. We loved eating our (free!) breakfast in the restaurant with the lounge music playing and our personalised service. Our room was absolutely adorable and comfortable and we loved... More

This hotel is old but very charming! I would rank the staff as over the top helpful and pleasant. We loved our room complete with electric blankets, coffee maker and mini-fridge. The jacuzzi, indoor pool, pool table and lots of board games make it a fun and cozy retreat. Nice central location to boot. Highly recommend it.
