I found the room to be neat & tidy, the room was quite with no outside noises for a great nights sleep after a party!

I don't think anyone would visit Port Pirie unless you had to, for whatever reason, however in saying that we did stay at the John Pirie and you could not fault the service or level of accomodation that was provided. We stayed in a new family until it was very clean, nice modern TV's in lounge and master bedroom.

I'd rather have my nose hairs plucked than stay at Port Pirie again. The town is god's waiting room. Terrible, just terrible. The hotel itself shows its hands by offering as many rat traps outside as motel rooms. Seriously, rat traps everywhere! WTF? Anyway, take the Viagra if you're on a honeymoon or holiday cause if you were a sex... More

I must admit I am averse to staying anywhere with "Motor Inn" in the name, but in Port Pirie there wasn't much choice. I am pleased I listened to a work mate who recommended the John Pirie. The room was perfect! Large, great tv, very clean, bathroom was just what I needed - a lovely relaxing jacuzzi after a day... More

Spotless clean room, comfy beds, nice bathroom but best of all was the staff plus it has the added extra of a restaurant & bar which is all I needed in 1 spot..

Loved the family room the only thing is if you have large kids the second room is a bunk with a double underneath that 2 children had to share. When booking for 3 children 2 are expected to share. My kids are young so it all worked ok, but later may not. This is my best motel I have stayed... More

I work for a not for profit organisation and travel frequently. I found the John Pirie Motor Inn to have great customer service and excellent systems to help business travellers. From the SMS i recieved confirming their address and my booking number on the day i was due to arrive, to the tax invoice being emailed as i paid for... More

Staff friendly when I got here and the accomodation was clean albiet a little out dated. I ordered room service, waited an hour, got the food shoved at me and was presented with some very poor quality food that wasent even what I ordered. Hungry and disappointed with the food and the resturant staff. It sadly cancelled out everything else.

Reasonably large rooms with a good sized bathroom for an average motel. Breakfast could be served to the room but as a tour group we had buffet breakfast in the dining room. Tomatoes were tinned - but everything else seemed fresh, including a plate of fresh fruit (melons, strawberries, etc.) which was very welcome. The evening meal for our group... More

It was the middle of the night after a long flight from the east coast when we pulled into Nowheresville, SA. The isolation of Port Pirie made an excellent rest stop for a visit to the Flinders Ranges being within 185 kms of Wilpena in the heart of the National Park. Our Studio Spa Room 41 ($115 + $5 booking... More
