Casa Grande is located right at one of the most beautiful beaches in Samana. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the breakfast very nice. It has a wonderful garden which is lovely for reading or hanging out. The rooms are simple and the showers a bit strange, but all clean, decent and originally decorated. I can recommend this place! Perfect place for a relaxing stay, not to mention the awesome owner Jacky. This place will remain special in my heart forever also because we managed to rescue a friend from drowning with the help from the staff of the hotel More

The place is excellent, very quiet, great location in front of an amazing beach. The food is amongst the best I have tried. The rooms are simple, but the price is excellent. Excellent place for a relaxing weekend or vacation. Good internet connection, work if you want, the garden is great. More

Playa Bonita is difficult to get to but well worth it if you desire a placid, undisturbed and rustic beach. This small hotel has a wonderful relaxed ambiance and excellent value including delicious bkfst. Excellent restaurant. Rooms are simple, have privacy, but not much hot water. With my 10y old daughter, we were looking for some activity and the hotel manager,... More

We arrived at Casa Grande and were told they have no room for us. We had a reservation for 3 nights, confirmed by an email from the hotel, that we had with us, as well as by phone. They have not denied the validity of our reservation, which they had in their records. We interacted with the owner of the... More

This hotel was recommended so we made a reservation for three nights. The best (only) good thing I can say about this place is that the food is good, which is an exception in the DR. The curtains in the room were torn with holes, the fixtures in the bathroom were hanging by a thread, the towel bar collapsed when... More

This is my second review of this place. The first one was not published. Had pix and everything. My biggest complaint is that it is overpriced for what it is. It's dilapidated. I'll post pix when this get's posted. More

Great place, small hotel facing the beach and coconut trees. Spacious, clean and simple rooms. Great people, warm, communicative and honest. They want to make you feel good on vacations and it works. Food is fantastic, fresh and creative! If you don't like resorts and big hotels, go there, you will find a quiet, good and friendly atmosphere. Difficult to... More

Although we did not stay at the hotel, we did have lunch there. We are Dominicans living in the United States and must admit, the food was the freshest and by far the best we have had in the DR. We are a large family group of small children, teens , adults and grandparents and EVERYONE was satisfied with their... More

We are a retired couple who like a winter break where we hope for some warm sunshine and a beach where we can swim. We like small hotels. This place was ideal in every way for us.It's very relaxed. The bathroom had the largest showerhead I've ever encountered! It was a joy to use. The food was excellent. Local coffee... More
