This was our second trip to Las Terrenas and we decided to go back to the Iguana. Nice surprise to see that the seafront road has been fixed completely! What to say ... we enjoyed our stay, as the previous time, it was nice to meet Annette again, nice to be there and ... we will be back!!! More

Spent 3 nights at this little group of "cabins" a minute's walk off the beach. Went with my girlfriend, and found that the rooms, though quaint, were absolutely perfect for the two of us. We are the kind of people who need a room, not a resort, but the breakfast every morning became a nice comfort. The community kitchen was... More

Loved staying here. Short walk to the beach. Private, clean bungalows. Great service. Unbelievable breakfast! Beachy elegance. Annette was a wonderful hostess and I would not hesitate to stay here again. More

The Iguana has it all: quiet, friendly owner and staff, good location and a great breakfast. . The owner, Annette, knows the entire Samana Peninsula very well and can arrange any type of tour , car rental, flights, etc you might need. The hotel is a little more than a five minute walk to the beach where you can find... More

In Feb, 2008 I returned to the Iguana Hotel for the second time. I am a lucky lady! Annette (the owner) is an exceptional lady and greeted us with open arms. My 3 girlfriends & I shared a 2 bedroom bungalo. My daughter and her husband joined us for the long weekend (they were living in Santo Domingo at the... More

We loved the Hotel Iguana. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt we were at our home away from home. Annette was so welcoming and kind. She let us "borrow" her dogs during the day and we took them with us to the beach, just a short walk from the hotel. The free breakfast was... More

I thought the service and attention to detail was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the bungalows, though I thought the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I did not like the way Annette berated her staff, as it seemed completely at odds with the lovely way she greeted and interacted with her guests. More

We enjoyed the Iguana Hotel. Annette was tremendously helpful, and her breakfasts outstanding. The only downside was the distance from the town - probably 2 km down a long, long dirt road, which made going out to dinner quite an endeavor. Best to hop a ride with the motoconchos to get there. However, the upside of being so far down... More

The Iguana Hotel is set back from the beach (about a 2-3 minute walk down a little rutty road). It is quiet, beautiful, and secluded. We'd spent a couple days in Las Terrenas before discovering it. Once we got installed in our bungalow, our vacation became relaxed and enjoyable. We were actually very happy to not be right on the... More
