Arrowtown is a perfect place to stay on the south island and just a short drive to more popular Queenstown. We stayed at the Arrow with two other couples all of us having excellent rooms that were basically all the same. Arrowtown, a great small town with about a dozen wonderful cafes/bars and excellent restaurants and a 5 minute walk... More

On our recent trip around NZ we spent our final two nights at this privately owned boutique hotel, and what a great choice! We had a little misadventure on arrival, locking the car keys in the boot, but our host Tim readily came to the rescue and assisted in resolving the problem. Further, he helped us forget the drama with... More

We recently spent 5 nights at The Arrow and loved every minute. Right from the outset, we were taken aback with the warm, personal service and the welcome we received from Tim with wine and nibbles in the stone cottage. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and everything is finished superbly, making it a home away from home. Underfloor heating, quality... More

We had three nights here over Easter. It was absolutely excellent - the perfect place to unwind. Tim has created outstandingly good accommodation, with perfect attention to detail. The room was very large and very quiet, with an extensive balcony overlooking the valley below (it's worth booking the one suite with a balcony). It's bit hard not to rave, bt... More

We went to Arrowtown for a wedding recently and stayed at The Arrow. It was fantastic. Great modern rooms - loved the architecture. The breakfast was fantastic and the service awesome. The rooms have great designer touches - even the milk jug is a design object. Great warm, clean and large room. Fantastic, would love to stay again.

Had 4 days there in Late March. Tim welcomed us as friends with wine and cheese and was incredibly informative about Arrowtown and Queenstown in general. Fully equipped including free wifi - a must these days. Breakfast in the room delicious. Booked the Dart river jet cruise for us and even gave us some insect repellent - very thoughtful. Able... It is always a pleasure to have you both come and stay! La Rumbla is a great addition to the now more than 20 cafes and restaurants in Arrowtown, so we are pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you had some joy finding 'the bed'. Looking forward to seeing you both again sometime soon!!! More
