was a great location close to beach friendly hosts.and motels were very clean and tidy plenty of parking for vehicles and children to play.Be back to stay. more
I spent a couple of nights here in Feb 2009, what a mistake! The motel is actually right on the main road. It is advertised as 'the place to relax' - what a joke - you're virtually sharing a bed with the main road!
In addition, the hot tub is filthy, the entire complex is like a car park, having been completely tarmaced over and there is no charm. The owner didn't seem to like it when I went back to my room during the day whilst I was staying, I did tell him it was due to the heat as I had been out walking and I felt like a rest inside for an hour or so. I have never before been to a motel where they monitor your whereabouts and quiz you on your motivations for returning to your room!
In addition, this place is very expensive for what it is. I saw lots of better priced and nicer looking places in Nelson, you'd do well to book one of those rather than here!
