We arrived to be greeted by Richard and Shawn (who was shirtless... we think we caught them unexpectedly while they were doing major housework!), who graciously helped us with our large bags upstairs to the Fifeshire suite. As other reviewers have commented: what a view! You just want to sit and enjoy it all day and evening. We received a... more

My wife and I stayed at Te Puna Wai for a few days during our honeymoon and it was truly an experience we will always remember. The views are breathtaking, the room was amazing, and the hospitality was top-notch. Richard even gave us a free upgrade to the Haulashore room because no one else had booked it when we arrived!... more

We were greated by Richard upon arriving at the Te Puna Wai Lodge. He sorted out our parking; in fact he himeself moved our car to a safe area on the street. He then carried three huge suitcases (one at a time) upstairs to our lovely room, with an unbelieveable view of the bay and gardens. The refreshments provided in... more

We stayed at Te Puna Wai Lodge on the recommendation of my brother and his wife and were not disappointed – in fact, we were thrilled – it is the best ‘bed & breakfast’ we have ever stayed at. We booked the top room and, as well as being roomy, it has fabulous views. Richard and James were wonderful hosts,... more

I stayed a Te Puna Wai while I attended a conference in Nelson. I had checked it out on its website and knew it looked good but I was even more impressed when I actually arrived. The house itself is beautiful and warm and seeps with character. The views from just about anywhere in the house are amazing. It being... more

We stayed in the upper most room with amazing views of the harbor and sunsets...the bed and bedding were superb, and the bathroom was huge and very inviting. Richard and James were great hosts and so helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations, and a wonderful breakfast each morning. Our four night stay allowed a great deal of exploring of Nelson and... more

A breathtaking view from this B & B with hosts to match. The breakfast was fit for a king. Loved the whole experience. Just one tiny flaw we felt and this was the driveway/parking, a bit hairy. Thanks boys for the outstanding stay. more

My husband and I were totally blown away by our stay here. We were in the Fifeshire suite and we were amazed by the gorgeous view from the window as soon as we came in. We wanted to sit there all day long. The bathroom was incredible. This is one of those places that you want to hang out in... more

We were met by a very welcoming Shawn - a friend who made us feel completely at home and welcome. The room on the top floor had a bathroom to die for, and the main room had every comfort and more. Next morning we were welcomed to a wonderful breakfast served with style. Richard and James had been away and... more

Possibly one of the nicest B&B's we have ever travelled to. While the proprietors, James & Richard were predisposed, our host for the evening (his name escapes me) was most accommodating, and greeted us when our taxi arrived. He assisted us with bringing our luggage up, and was thorough in his explanation of the facilities. We stayed in the Fifeshire... more
