Stayed here for four nights while we explored Nelson and the surrounding areas. Really enjoyed our stay here...it was like our own little apartment. Fitness center didn't offer much and the pool could have been heated, but those are small details compared to the other benefits of staying here. more

we booked/stayed 2 nights. A complimentary upgrade always helps but that aside, the room was what you might expect from a 4.5+star hotel. The room facilities, includng a lounge area, kitchenette, beautiful/clean bathroom were all well appointed. The community laundry was well maintained - free detergent. A lovely waterside setting. Out of town but near the airport and the WOW museum. The layout is wonderful. Old English Village style with attractive New Zealand style outdoor areas. This hotel is effectively a town in itself - it has a load of cottages, a 'high street', jewellers, gym/pool, hair dressers etc. The cottages are beautiful and even have a washing machine with washing powder provided! We thought it would be a lovely night of luxury on way home from bach holiday. For about NZ$170 (discounted web rate) we got offhand staff and tiny, sweltering ground floor room (no air con, no fridge, no tea/coffee etc). Great place to stay! Styled like an old brick villa , But with all the modern touches. Almost like your own little modern castle! Set in an amazing setting , stunning gardens! Restaurant is also very good , Neat coastal walks near by , But would recommend having transport to see the Nelson area. more

what a great find, a relaxed hotel 10 mins from nelson centre (so you need a car) lovely swimming pool and breakfasts are really good in the Orangery restaurant can do massages here as well and they are really good value - book ahead though as they can be busy washing facilities are available we had a cottage/1 bedroom place... more

This was a lovely place to stay for a few nights. We had an upstairs studio apartment with kitchenette. It was quiet even with two full coachs of tourists in house. the rooms were of a very high standard with a lovely king size bed.
