Room smelled like mildew, carpet and walls were stained and dirty. If I had not prepaid, I would not have stayed here. I was too tired to complain after 3 weeks of traveling but can not recommend this place. The only positive was that the front desk folks were nice. more

Just arrived back from Auckland New Zealand stayed in the "Quality Inn" aka Oakwood Manor. The place is not clean, way out of the way, totally outdated. The water pipes resounded through the entire complex as if a jackhammer was coming through our room at 5 am. The cost was outrageous for what you got. I would have done better... more

I have to say what a disappointing stay we had here. To be honest I wasnt expecting alot, hopefully just a cheap, clean, convenient stay near the airport with shuttle tfrs and breakfast included as booked. In fairness, very good value at $77. It was our first time in New Zealand. We had a fantastic time. We stayed for 3 nights at Oakwood Manor and we were made to feel very welcome. Jessie at reception was fantastic! Absolutely deplorable motel, grubby. The smell from the empty restuarant area was something I haven't struck for 40 years. The bedcovers in our room were "slick" with grime . Never again ! more

I would never stay in this motel again. In fact, I was scared to sleep in the bed. It was also cold and I couldn't find a thermostat to turn on any heat. Luckily, I was only there for a few hours. The only thing positive I can say is it is close to the airport. more
