The Heritage Highway Motel is a good motel offering clean and comfortable accommodation without any stand-out features. The motel room was clean and tidy with a good bathroom and only average beds. The heater was one of those tickity-tic fan types that makes an annoying racket every time it turns on. That should be replaced as we visited in May... More

Hi NZBeagle Thanks for the review. We have replaced our fan heaters with convection heaters which are a lot better (and absolutely silent) and will make your stay the next time you visit a better experience. The Hotel is easy to find...the last place on the right before you go over the bridge. That was good to know at the end of a long drive...no driving in circles wonder where to go. Well located motel - our room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking and a very short walk into the town centre. On the morning of our departure we noticed a flat tyre - the owners helped us remove it and gave us a lift to a reliable local garage who repaired it and charged a very fair price... More

“Clean & tidy, giant bathroom, not the best bed”

Stopped in here overnight. Lovely owner. Clean tidy rooms. Large bathroom. Bed needs new mattress as it rolled in quite badly. Kitchen needed sharper knife in draw it wouldnt cut pumpkin. Overall quite a nice place to stay. Internet access much faster here than some in NZ.

We arrived in Hokitika on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet, most things were closed. We drove a little further and came across the Heritage Highway Motel and we were able to walk into town easily. “Good value, clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay”

If you want a lovely clean, comfortable friendly place to stay then this is it. We only intended on staying one night and then move on but ended staying 3 nights. Definately value for money. Nice size rooms, good tvs and comfortable beds. Staff and hosts all very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again.

Stopped at the Heritage Highway in Hokitika for a single night as we travelled from Nelson to Franz Josef.
