This was the most interesting stay of our whole holiday! The locals are very "interesting" indeed! The owner is helpful which is good. It's a 30 min drive to Greymouth and Punakaiki. The accommodation is old very fashioned, there was a sink in our room, but you had to share the bathroom and showers which are down the corridor. You have free internet access, and no one else uses it. You get a free continental breakfast. It's in a pub, but we never went in there as we only stayed for one night. For the price this place is fine. It is extremely cheap and even though we were in a pub we didn't hear any noise. This has got to be one of the smallest villages i have ever visited in my life, and everyone knows each other. I think the owner likes to try to fix things as there were a few tv's and computers in the lounge. For friendliness this hotel is great, but it's very old fashioned so probably not for younger people. more
