Our family took 2 studio rooms here at the beginning of April for one night. After searching around for reasonable accommodation which appealed to us.... being clean, well put together & not over the top price wise this came recommended from another accommodation source in Whangarei.

The studio room was spotless including the bathroom, clean white linen & towels. The bathroom was a good size & I was amazed how clean the shower was, it almost looked brand new.
Alot of personal pride has been taken with presenting a clean property.

It is located on a main road, but we heard no traffic noise during the night. The room was ventilated with a ceiling fan which was great, however I don't know how it would be in the hot summer.

I would definately recommend the Pohutukawa Lodge Motel, Whangarei. Past experience has found Whangarei accommodation to be very dated & tired. more
