Truly the cherry on the proverbial weddingcake! After driving the beautiful Great Ocean Road, we did not expect to see a place more enchanting.William and Ailsa went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Even the kids and the cats joined in! The room was impeccable, the surroundings beautiful! We did not want to leave. We... More

This was a beautiful place to stay. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hearty and ample and eaten in the gorgeous homestead dining room. The homestead was like walking back in time. William and Ailsa were hospitable and welcoming hosts who made us feel at home in their place

at first we worried as our GPS took us so far away from everything but this place is just gorgeous. So secluded, perfect for a couples getaway. Clean rooms with all the essentials. Great service- they couldn't do enough.

My husband booked a getaway for us and chose Quamby after the great reviews and online photos. It was so much better when we arrived, the photos don't do the property justice. The homestead is impressive, the gardens tranquil and William and Aisla are friendly and helpful hosts. They really want to be sure that their guests are comfortable and... More

Stayed three nights, arriving 1st Feb 2013. Stayed in room number two in the mews rooms. Quamby Homestead is an outstanding Guest Accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return if we visit the area again. The quality of the recent refurbishment of the rooms is of a very high standard, both internally and to the external fabric... More

We stayed in the schoolhouse which was a lovely room, with modern ensuite attached. Staff were very friendly, and the room was exceptionally clean. Included breakfast was also delicious! We'd recommend Quamby Homestead to friends and family, and would definitely stay again.

We have just returned to the UK after 4 weeks travelling in Australia, and of all the small places we stayed this was by far the best. We couldn't get accomodation in Port Fairy so we booked Quamby Homestead and found ourselves a real gem.We stayed in a mews room and I agree with a previous reviewer that the rooms... More

The room is spotlessly clean, looks brand new, but a bit without atmosphere. The main building makes up for the atmosphere: a place where you can touch history. We made a nice stroll in the surrounding field, we saw a lot of cockatoos. The hosts welcome you as a relative and we had a good dinner for a very attractive... More

We stayed here as a one night stopover between Coonawarra and Apollo Bay. It is a lovely late nineteenth century Homestead which includes a nice period lounge and dining room, which are available to guests. We arrived around 17:30 and were greeted by the hosts, who showed us around and provided us some info. We had two interconnecting rooms, and... More
