After failing to find a room at my favourite St Kilda B&B - the wonderful Fountain Terrace - (admittedly at a very late stage), I goggled St. B&Bs. Bishopsgate was also booked out, so tried the next on the first goggle page. St. Marine Boutique Hotel, went into the site, which shows what appears to be a lovely large Federation... More

This is a run down guest house with poor decor, poor facilities and non-existent service. Breakfast consisted of little more than two slices of cheap supermarket bread wrapped in clingfilm. The carton of milk left in the fridge in our room for morning tea was opened and half empty - no idea howe long it had been there. We would... More

Not as stated on web site. Bathrooms are shared and down the hallway and although we shared one with our friends, another guest used it overnite and peed on the floor! I saw his naked backside as he opened the door to his room! Our friends room had a fan (no aircon and a hot night) and our room had... More

The name BOUTIQUE illustrates luxury, this so called 4 star property is furnished in cheap Bali cain. Their internet advert reads Breakfast in room, free parking, phone & broadband, breakfast was light continental, we expected English cooked from a menu, as the tarrif was $165 . 00 p n . No phone or broadband,FREE parking was on the Street. It was... More

I would highly recomend this fantastic one bedroom apartment on Fitzroy St in vibrant St Kilda which is owned by St Marine Boutique Hotel. The view from the balcony looks out towards Melbourne's skyline and St. Kilda's beach front and is simply stunning. We were lucky enough to watch the fireworks on New Year's eve from this great vantage point!... More

This hotel looks like a house from the outside but inside it is spacious, quiet and well appointed. It is an easy walk to local attractions including Ackland St and the esplanade. I was welcomed promptly and by the friendly owner. I had my room upgraded without asking for it. My room was really pleasant - it had all that... More

Boutique St Marine misleads in its advertising. It boasts spacious rooms and private bathrooms; we had a pokey room and a shared bathroom. It advertises views of the sea or garden: for us it was a narrow, unlockable window with an uninspiring outlook onto a sidestreet. There is no lounge, outdoor area or other seating other than your room, where... More

Originally I was a bit confused when receiving confirmation found we were at an apartment (not featured on the website), not opposite the Marina as 1st thought in the Edwardian style house. I did complain to the owner Pam. She was most considerate and tried all sorts of options to please me. Due to her being kept waiting by me... More

We arrived to this place late at night, having spent 13 hours on a plane from Hong Kong. The reception we got from the owner was rude and he complained that we were late. Anyone who does not want late arrivals should make that clear. I may add that we had barely got through the front door at this point.... More
