It seems to be a big and ancient hotel, good location, well equiped. great value. with a big reasterant and gambleing game room and bar. a little crowded and noisy, but it's ok when we close the window.:) room ensuite, good bargin price. great sleep.

The hotel is situated above a hotel, which is rather noisy at nighttime with bands playing, and full of louts swigging schooners or whatever it is they drink in tassie. Rooms are old and tired and need a paint job. Really small too. Breakfast is delivered at lunchtime, and my sheets had stains on them... gross!

Some of these reviews are really old now, The hotel has been renovated and taken over by new owners. The night club is only on Wednesday night for Uni night with the exception of the occasional band on week ends (5 times a year maybe?) It's only around $65 single a night. Stayed for 4 nights in mid December and found it pretty good all round. Was a bit worried about the nightclub but it only ran on the Wednesday night. Went down to it and had a good time anyway.
