Tarting up the room with contemporary bedclothes did not detract from the remnants of the last occupant's poop in the toilet. I've stayed in some pretty shabby places right throughout the world, but they *have* all managed a clean toilet. Water glasses were also grubby. We had a very pleasant night stay at Commodore Regent. Our room was spacious and clean. The receptionist was very friendly and check-in was a breeze. Our concerns after reading the negative reviews were quickly forgotten as soon as we checked-in.
