Recommended. The rooms aren't flash (i.e. a bit worn) but they are clean & relatively spacious and great value for the price. Staff were very helpful & friendly.

The somewhat eccentric Belgian man who runs the desk at this historic place in downtown Launceston was helpful and entertaining. Rooms are at or above backpacker standards, generally clean and renovated far more recently than the historic building itself. Well sited in Launceston. Room well equipped with fridge and TV and tea and coffee making facilities . Clean, neat and tidy and well run place. Good laundry facilities for guests and v. clean kitchen but only 1 cooker so might have got difficult if lot more people staying.. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It's the best backpacker in Lauceston.we have ever staied 3 backpacker in lauceston.There is a supevrnice Maneger and a cool dog in Batman backpacker!They are friendly,funny and nice.We love it!
